To say visiting the Royal Palace of Spain is an extraordinary thing, especially when accompanied by a prepared patient and clear person. Added value to the experience was your staff, whom we waited in front of the palace instead of going to their headquarters. Arriving at the venue late, one of the staff accompanied us to the group that had already left, crossing before the entrance to the palace. Bravo

Today, June 3rd, we had an unforgettable visit to the Royal Palace of Madrid, English Guided Tour thanks to Carla, our guide of Satguru Travels and Tour. Her knowledge, passion, and warmth brought the history to life in every room we visited at the Palace. Clear explanations, kind attitude, and contagious enthusiasm. An exceptional guide who truly made a difference! 25314403

The skip the line tickets made it so easy. The queue was probably 100 meters and we just walked straight in. The palace is a spectacular place to visit, with interesting stuff for everybody. Old masters hang on the walls. With a music room full of Stratovarius instruments. The audio tour is great to listen to and watch (and keep to show others)

Madrid's Royal Palace is definitely one of the city's most striking attractions. The visit went well overall, although it is useful to know that despite the advance purchase of the ticket, there is a line of about half an hour before entering. Once inside, the organization was efficient and the rooms are spectacular: the halls are well-kept, rich in history and well explained, and there is no need to take self-guided tours. It is worth taking the time to explore at leisure. The only negative note: the bathrooms were definitely dirty and poorly maintained, which is surprising at a site of this level. Overall, however, the visit is worthwhile and a must-see for anyone visiting Madrid.

A good way to skip the queue's and see the palace with explanation. The sound quality was OK, but not great. This is partly likely as I am a hearing aid user, so had to remove them to use the headphones. I found the sound to be boomy when the volume raised and better with the volume lower. The palace itself is spectacular, even though part of me thinks that the oppulence is somewhat obscene in this day and age, but hey it's history that is worth seeing!

Our tour guide was very informative she also engaged the group by asking questions keeping it interactive. The issue we had is we had to wait for 2 parties to show up. We stood in the hot sun waiting from 3:15 to 3:40. The time requested us to be present was 3:15. She was being told to continue to wait for the parities that were late.. We then moved forward into the palace at 3:40 and then we had to wait again because the parties arrived . If a party is not there at the time the ticket said which was please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time. Start time was 3:30 time to meet was 3:15. The entire group had to wait for these individuals that did not follow the guidelines. My suggestion is a 15 minute grace period. If they are not there by 3:30 start the tour.

Fantastic tour with Rocia, truly informative, fun, and well-paced. It would help to kinow that the tour departys from the other plaza; in other such tours, we went to an office to exchange our headout passes for tickets, and then went to the main site to begin. We went to the plaza looking for some sort of office. More precise instructions for that part would be helpful m- "your btour will depart from plaza...the tour guide will meet you at the plaza at 12:45, with a sign saying ...then you will walk to the palace "(5 minute wal;k), get headsets, deposit bags, and enter" etc.

Our tour guide, Marta, was exceptional, vibrant, thorough and interesting. She managed a large group and some difficult palace staff really well. Our 9.45 am tour was cancelled, which we found out about only when we arrived at the appointed time. Your staff claimed contact was made to inform me of this by either phone or email - but when we checked it was clear we didn't receive any notifications. No apology was offered on the day and no explanation given. Tour was rescheduled to 11.45 Will not recommend your company.

The palace is beautiful! Definitely worth checking out. We had trouble downloading the PDF of the ticket from the app and there's no WiFi at the palace. The royal palace simply wonderful. You have the perception that you can really enter a contemporary piece of history and at the same time breathe the history of Spain. The Royal collections are in a very well organized museum with the works well displayed and explained in a simple and comprehensive way. I supposedly bought combined tickets for the royal palace and the gallery. I only got the gallery tickets. So I had to buy the palace tickets on the spot. I feel cheated. I tried to get in touch via the app with customer service and got no response.

We had booked tickets online for Palacio Real in Madrid. The advantage of booking online was indeed, that you don't have to wait in a long line, but get in much faster. The palace is beautiful! Definitely worth checking out. We had trouble downloading the PDF of the ticket from the app and there's no WiFi at the palace. I went next door and tried their WiFi but it still didn't work. They needed the PDF to scan. After about a half hour, they let us in but we couldn't get the audio. I tried again later with WiFi to download the tickets on the app and it still didn't work.

The skip-the-line ticket was very helpful. We waited only a few minutes. The only downside was that we booked for Saturday and after paying an email came saying there were no more seats. We had to make Sunday quickly because we had a flight at 4 pm. By the way, the Sunday ticket was cheaper but we did not receive a refund for the difference.

We started at Tysenn. Everything went very smoothly, the accreditation and the entrance. Not so in the Pardo (the second visit) where there was the main queue and a second shorter queue (20' wait) to accredit the QR code. I managed to sort the App and to access my tickets without any problem. The Royal Palace Madrid is interesting- but overwhelming in it's opulence! We arrived early and gave ourselves time to look briefly around the Palace (50 mins ish, after 10 mins in queue and 5 getting bag screen and picking up an audio guide) before the kitchen tour, which I enjoyed. Was also some cool shade on a hot day! The Palace was getting very busy by the time we left and queues were long- we were pleased we'd been advised about that by other Headout users.

Royal Armoury

One of the largest and most impressive collections of arms and armour in the world is housed within the palace. Visitors can marvel at suits of armour, weaponry, and ceremonial swords dating back several centuries, providing insight into Spain's military history and royal traditions.

Royal Chapel

The palace's Royal Chapel (Capilla Real) is a masterpiece of Spanish Baroque architecture, adorned with stunning frescoes, marble columns, and intricate altarpieces. It serves as a place of worship for the royal family and is often used for state ceremonies and religious celebrations.

State Rooms

The palace boasts a stunning array of state rooms, each decorated with opulent furnishings and artwork. Highlights include the Hall of Mirrors (Salón de los Espejos), and the Gala Dining Room (Comedor de Gala), which showcase the palace's lavish Baroque and Neoclassical interiors.

Royal Kitchen

The Royal Kitchen occupies the first basement of the Palace. The first chamber, the Ramillete Room, was used for creating sweets, chocolates, biscuits, and beverages. Notable features include the 1844 Ramillete oven. The Pastry Workshop, originally the main entrance, remains a chamber dedicated to making Easter eggs and ice cream.

Throne Room

The Throne Room, originally designed during the reign of Charles III is decorated with frescoes portraying allegorical figures and new embroidered fabric, the room hosted ceremonial audiences and displayed deceased monarchs. The original throne, now preserved in the palace collections, is faithfully replicated in the room.

Hall of Columns

The Column Hall of the Royal Palace of Madrid was originally designed as a ballroom and function room and held significant importance for civil court ceremonies, second only to the Throne Room. Its design, attributed to Giovanni Battista Sacchetti, is closely linked to the palace's architectural plan. A fresco by Giaquinto depicting Apollo is the main feature of the hall.

Gasparini's Hall

Named after the Chamber Painter Mattia Gasparini,  this chamber served as the King's dressing room. Interestingly, during Carlos III's reign, the room's walls were adorned with tapestries from the Royal Factory in winter and with masterpieces by Diego Velázquez, including "La Fragua de Vulcano," "Las Hilanderas," and "Los Borrachos," as well as works by Murillo, Ribera, and Titian during summer.

Main Staircase

Initially, there were debates over the twin staircases proposed by Marquis Scotti and designed by Sacchetti. Despite criticism, Sacchetti's design was ultimately chosen, resulting in the creation of the Main Staircase and the Hall of Columns. Dissatisfied, King Charles III enlisted the architect Sabatini to redesign the space. The Main Staircase was completed by Sabatini in 1760.
